…So Who Amongst Them Is “Next Governor”?

At the 2019 GENERAL ELECTION, IMO STATE had the highest number of GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATES with SEVENTY-ONE (71)!
Followed closely by RIVERS STATE with FIFTY-FOUR (54) CANDIDATES!
Ahead of the Saturday NOVEMBER 11, 2023 IMO STATE GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION, the number of Candidates is SEVENTEEN (17)!
They include Incumbent Governor, SEN HOPE ODIDIKA UZODIMMA (APC), SEN SAMDADDY ANYANWU (PDP), SEN ATHAN NNEJI ACHONU (AGU OTU AKA)/IKENGA JOSEPH IKECHUKWU UKAEGBU (LABOUR PARTY), GEN JACK- LINCOLN OGUNEWE (ACTION ALLIANCE), CHIEF UCHE BEN ODUNZEH (NNPP), IKENGA JOHNJUDE UCHENNA OKERE (ACCORD), OBINNA BRIGHT EKWEBELEM (SDP), EMMANUEL IFEANYI AWULONU (AAC), PROF JAMES OTUMBADI OKOROMA (ADC),KACHI NWOGA (ADP), ANTHONY EJIOGU (APGA), CLINTON CHIBUIKE EDOZIEM (APM), ANDERSON OBIEZE ACHILIKE (APP), ISAAC IWUANYANWU (BP), LAWRENCE COLE OPARA (NRM), KEMDI CHINO OPARA (YPP) and ANDY CHIBUIKE (ZLP)!
While it is expected that the Candidates embark on Massive canvassing of Votes through a well tailored Political Campaigns, it is ironically not same!
With Sen. Hope Odidika Uzodinma as Incumbent, the onerous task for the other Sixteen Candidates is to unseat him via the ballot!
Incredibly, no of the Candidates seems to know it, rather they Unconsciously Parade as “Incoming Governor”!
While Incumbent Governor Hope Odidika Uzodinma and his numerous allies and Supporters continue to Sound it loud and Clear, that there is No Vacancy Yet At The Imo state government House , otherwise known as the “Douglas House “!
The Pertinent question now is, if there are now sixteen other “Imo state Government House(s) “, where are the sixteen candidates “Coming To “?
Since there is No Vacancy Yet At The Seat Gov Hope Odidika Uzodinma Is currently occuping ? So, what happens next?
It’s simple! While not discouraging anyone to enjoy at the moment, self-conferment of “Incoming Governor” title, it behoves on the good voters of Imo State to make a sound determination of the “Next Governor “, not “Incoming Governor”!
Which will happen on Saturday 11th November , 2023, in all the 305 Wards of Imo state.
Laughably, one of the candidates had his Supporter Post on Social Media that his Principal will be Governor the way “Ohakim Did”!
Which implications therefore is that Some of the Candidates are talking to the Breeze (Not Praying ) for an unavailable and non-existent magic to happen!
When they should have deployed their time, energy, and resources to campaign and canvass for votes as “Incoming Governor ” (Not Next Governor ), they have become!
Because a big difference exists between “Incoming Governor” and “Next Governor “!
